Creativity.

How have you tried to facilitate and encourage your own creativity?
When using new equipment like the camera which I have never used before, I tested out loads of shots and tried to use different things to form a tracking shot. For example, suggesting a skateboard of some form or using a trolley which was very hard to find due to the rules with trolleys.
Did you experience limits/blocks on your own creativity?
Yes because our first ever idea was seen more like a trailer and we wanted everything to be like a 'BANG' moment but then after we realised that we didn't have enough time nor money for what we wanted to do. Within the idea of limitations it was as if we had to make such an excellent project in such a brief amount of time which was hard because we was not able to forfill our ideas as much as we wanted to for example with sound we wanted to use a range of sound for example using post-sychronised sound which did not work out due to the deadline being around the corner!
How easy/difficult was it to be creative while still working to the brief?
I didn't think that it was so limited because we was able to pick what we actually wanted to do and what sort of genre we was into. However, I see this as an advantage because we was sort of given a 'way' to create our own path in; if i was to be liberated when carrying out my main task I don't think i wouldn't have known what to do because it would have been to broad of a brief.
Did working within conventions stifle your creativity?
I think that it pushed our creativity to be a tad bit better because conventions give you the traditional idea and being given them allows you to manipulate them to form a new idea. I think that starting with something fresh would be more difficult because you wouldn't know where to go with the idea of creativity. Within our main task we done this by using contrapunctual sound which conforms from the idea of a horror because when the horror reaches it's peak, the moment would be more tense and dramatic.
To what extent did you need to work with others and ‘bounce ideas’ off other people to be truly creative?
This was one of our major struggles when it had come to ideas because we had all come up with ideas and all wanted to carry it out but never wanted to go into further detail. However, I felt as if working with others has made me more creative because you give off an idea and then others contribute to it to make it better.
How much of your creativity was about trial and error?
The MAJORITY of it as my group had gone through alot of trial and error, especially with the content of our introduction to a film. Trial and error had made us identify our mistakes as it had allowed us to focus on the idea that our drama was not what we had imagined and had to change our idea overall to a horror because it was a genre which we was all interested in. This had triggered the majority of our creativity because it allowed us to see what would work and what wouldn't work which is shown through our final piece.
To what extent was a lack of confidence an issue in terms of your creativity?
To a large extent as working within a group is where ALOT of discussion is required and I was sort of afraid if my ideas were not right or did not make sense although there is no such thing as not being right so this had sort of restricted me. Although, as time went on and we had worked together more and more I had grown to be comfortable around my group and just share the ideas on my mind and as a group, we all felt the same!
To what extent was a lack of technical competence/confidence an obstacle to your creativity?

It did not really act as a obstacle to me, I felt as if it had boosted my creativity even more because it allowed me to explore rather than knowing how to work things. To me it was seen as more liberating than restricting because it did not give us any actual guidelines.

Music Video Intro

What images do they use?
They use a lot of seducing imagery towards male characters. And imagery relating to the title itself a 'party.'

How does the images link to the song?
It is almost as if the music video is a little story of the singer, Ciara meeting her lover. It links to the song because the imagery is seducing and the song talks about physical contact between the two people.

How does it promote the band/singer?
Ciara is well known for music videos like this, for example her song Promise, Ride which make this video add to the collection.

How does it get you to remember the song?
The video helps to remember the song because the video becomes a clear association with the title because it is so explicit.
